Outside; brown thin shell, small round fruits.
Inside; White/transparent fruit meat. Looking like a shallot leek. Within the fruit meat there is a black seed.
Taste; Really really sweet. Very sugary. Candy like.
Consistency; Very firm and almost crispy
Nico’s judgment: 2/10 stars “I love longan!!! (before tasting) ... spitting it out and responding; I HATE it. Love it in drinks, not as a fruit”
Eve’s judgment: 6/10 stars “ Like it. Really sweet and is like eating candy. Love the consistency. You cannot eat too many though. A few is enough”

pink guava
Outside; light green, looking like an apple or pear (exactly the same as guava)
Inside; Pink fruit meet, in the middle there are hard, rather big seeds
Taste; A mixture between apple, pear, banana, grape. Sweet and tart. Like regular guava but a bit more stingy and tart.
Consistency; Like a mushed pear (When a pear is really mature). Very juicy. Seeds are dangerous, it is like chewing stones.
Eve’s judgment: 8/10 stars “Like the taste. It wakes you up. Love the mix of flavours in my mouth. Exciting taste. And I love the pink color inside. Very girly fruit"

Red kiwi
Outside; brown/green, looking like a regular kiwi without the "hair"
Inside; Like a normal kiwi, green fruitmeat, black seeds and a white string in the middle. The only difference is a bit of red fruit meat around the white middle.
Taste; Again, like a normal kiwi BUT sweeter and smother. Not that sour or tart taste that kiwi tend to have.
Consistency; Again like a kiwi.
Eve’s judgment: 8/10 stars “Very nice. I like normal kiwi, so this was a hit. It doesnt leave that harsch feeling in your mouth as normal kiwi. Although I was MUCH dissapointed of the inside. Thought it would be more red because of the name.. ”

Mangosteen – also known as “Queen of fruits”
Outside; Brown/ dark purple with a green hat. Hard shell (you need a knife to cut it open)
Inside: Inside is divided in small pieces of fruit flesh. Looks like small garlic pieces of white creamy flesh. One black seed in one of the “garlic pieces”.. (Can be more)
Taste; Very sweet and exotic. A bit acid.
Consistency; Very soft, juicy, watery and mucous. A bit crunchy.

Victoria’s judgment: 6,5/10 “Hmm. Creepy consistence. A bit slimy. The taste is sweet, mild and nice. I feel like a pessimist. Take a mature mango the next time ;)”

Outside; green, looking like a artichoke .
Inside; like an apple. or similar to a guava. black seeds
Taste; Very sweet, a bit similar to guava & mango.
Consistency; Again like a really mature guava. very soft and a bit muchy.

Indonesian Snakefruit “Salak”
Outside; brown, shape of a fig and as well a bit reminding of a passion fruit. But the shell is similar to a snakeskin in the pattern; therefore the name.
Inside; 3 beige/ light yellow pieces of fruit meet, like a garlic. The pieces are almost like chestnuts. Within these 3 “garlic pieces” there is a big brown seed.
Taste; Very sweet, a bit similar to pineapple.
Consistency; Crunchy and moist consistency. Almost similar to a fresh coconut

(quite common, but completely new for Nico)
Outside; yellow, around 10 cm long, star
Inside; Light yellow fruit meet, seeds in the middle. When you cut the fruit the pieces looks like stars
Taste; A bit bitter, special taste.
Consistency;A bit crispy, quite watery. Almost like a cucumber.
Nico’s judgment: 2/10 stars “Not my cup of tea”
Eve’s judgment: 5/10 stars “I like it. Its something different. However, the look of the fruit is better than the taste. Beautiful on a fruit plate”

Indian Gooseberry (indiskt krusbär)
Outside; light green, looking like an huge gooseberry. size of a pingpong ball.
Inside; very light green, almost white fruit meet. A seed in the middle. More similar to a plum.
Taste; Unable to describe the level of bitterness. Lemon * 15859. The most sour thing on earth!!
Consistency; Again like a gooseberry. Stiff. Like a immature plum.
Nico’s judgment: 0/10 stars “Not even commentable. The shittiest. really,really bad. indian sucks!”
Eve’s judgment: 0/10 stars “Or minus points. The most bitter thing i have ever eaten. Can not think of one good reason of having a fruit like this. If you dont wanna kill someones ability to taste.”
veggie of the day
saw these pink beans in mustafa and couldnt stop myself from buying them.
i would have liked to tell you that they are delicious and the best veggie i have ever eaten.
that is sadly not the case;
big dissapointment in the taste.. didnt taste specifically good at all.
but i cannot deny the fact that they make any dish look more alive and fun!

Inside; Pink/Orange fruitmeat with black big seeds. The seeds look like black pepper
Taste; Sweet. Not so strong taste. Pretty smooth.
Consistency; Very soft and simple. Like a honey dew melon.
Nico’s judgment: 4/10 stars “Simply dont like it. Too similar to melon maybe. Dont like melon”
Eve’s judgment: 7/10 stars “Not the best fruit in y life. Of course much better than papaya in Sweden. But a good breakfast choice. Slightly similar to mango.”

Thai jackfruit
Outside; Green, huge fruit with dots.
Inside; When you open the jackfruit you see the bulbs of yellow fruitmeat. The bulbs are a kind of fleshy layer around the seeds, which are round and dark like chesnuts.
Taste; Really, really sweet. Tasting like candy
Consistency; Very different from any other fruit. Chewy, slippery, like rubber or chewing gum.
Nico’s judgment: 2,5/10 stars “This is really shitty. If I knew how it was to eat a snake, I would say it’s the same thing”
Eve’s judgment: 3/10 stars “Not good at all. So disappointed. It looks tasty, but its false advertisement. Although it might be good in a smoothie”

Outside; A small and thick little red banana
Inside; Exactly like a normal banana, a bit more yellow
Taste; Like a banana, but a bit sweeter.
Consistency; Like a banana, but a bit softer.
Nico’s judgment: 10/10 stars “Amazing!! The best banana I’ve ever eaten. And I guess more energizing as well, lovely”
Eve’s judgment: 8/10 stars “Love it. Sweet and good. I’m a bit undecided what I think about the outside. Looks cool, but at the same time reminds me of a sausage”

Outside; yellow tiny and oval. Looking like a plum or an apricot without the “hair”
Inside; Light yellow/ beige fruit meet, with a oval stone in the middle
Taste; Similar to persimon. Sweet.
Consistency; Quite stiff, similar to a pear
Nico’s judgment: 2,5 /10 stars “Not much to say. Not good at all. It is like eating wood but good nutrition and energy. Good before workout”

Outside; pink & green, looking like a “dragon” or more like an art piece
Inside; White fruit meet with black seeds
Taste; Not much, like a kiwi that lost 50 % of its taste, neutral, not so sweet
Consistency; Again like a kiwi, or a mixture between a kiwi and a mango
Nico’s judgment: 5/10 stars “Doesn’t taste much, not disgusting. Not god, not bad.”
Eve’s judgment: 6/10 stars “Score is based on the cool look. For the taste it gets minus. Why eating a fruit that doesn’t taste anything”?
